The death toll increased to six as another two injured died after a spinning mill caught fire at Faridpur area of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur on Wednesday.
Firefighters recovered the charred bodies of three more people after extinguishing the blaze at night, Lima Khanom, duty officer of Gazipur Fire Service Control room told Barta24.com.
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
On Tuesday, a security guard, identified as Russel Mia, was burned to death after the fire broke out at the spinning mill around 2.25pm. 17 firefighting units extinguished the blaze after 12 hours of frantic effort. Valuables, including cotton and machineries, were destroyed in the fire.
A three-member committee was formed to identify the cause of the fire.
