Dhaka, (Barta24.com): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina now on an official visit to China paid glowing tributes to the Chinese revolutionary heroes. At local time 4 o’clock on Friday(July5) afternoon the Prime Minister of Bangladesh placed floral wreaths at the memorial plaque built in memory of the revolutionary heroes at Tiananmen square.
After placing the floral wreaths the Prime Minister stood there in solemn silence as mark of respect to the revolutionary heroes of China.
Earlier when she reached there she was given a state salute by a smartly turned out contingent of China armed forces.
National anthems of both the countries were played and the last post was played in the bugle.
Later on the Prime Minister held a meeting with the chairman of China National Peoples Congress(NPC) Li Zhengzhou at the Great Hall of people.
It may be mentioned here that Sheikh Hasina had reached China on an official visit at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang on last July 1 to attend the annual meeting of World Economic Forum(WEF). She also held meetings with the top leaders of China.
