From Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan: Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni informed the Jatiya Sangsad that in view of the standard of education of Bangladesh our fifteen universities have got place in the International list.
She said, ‘According to Sigmola of Spain and Scopas of USA survey reports in International ranking our 15 universities have been included. Of them Khulna university has been placed on the top.
She told all these in on Monday (July 8) in the Sangsad proceeding replying to a notice.
The treasury bench member Nur Mohammad drawing attention of the Education Minister raised the notice of public importance stressed the need for improving the quality of education in the country.
In reply, the Education Minister said, ’Education is the key factor for advancement of the country. The government has attached importance on higher education and research based on knowledge through modernization of education system.
Government has already taken steps to improve the quality of education. An accreditation council has been formed by enacting the accreditation law in 2017 to give accreditation examining the quality of education.’
She further said that,’ Under National Framework, Bangladesh Accreditation Council will make continuous evaluation in all universities of the country. National Qualification Framework would be soon finalized.’
Dr. Dipu Moni said, ‘Government has taken up several plans during 2018-30 period. In the government framed strategic plan for higher education most important of those is to open International desk in every university to keep constant international contact.’
