Former Awami League lawmaker Amanur Rahman Khan Rana has been released from Tangail district jail.
Rana was released from jail around on Tuesday morning, Tangail District Jailer Abul Bashar told Barta24.com.
On Monday, the Supreme Court has upheld a High Court order that granted bail to the former Awami League lawmaker in a case filed over the killing of two Juba League activists in 2012.
Following the court order, his lawyer confirmed that there was no legal bar for Rana’s release from jail.
