Dhaka,(Barta24.com): A delegation of 55 Olama – Mashaekh to give religious advices and to help the Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia is being sent by the Ministry of Religious Affairs for the first time. The Olama-Mashaekhs have been included for the first time providing all facilities of Haj package at state expenditure.
This was notified by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on July 9. In the notification it has been said that the ‘Alim’ delegation will go to Saudi Arabia on August 4 and 5 subject to the available of flights. They will return on August 23. It will be treated as Haj journey at state expenditure. Their tour program will be decided by the Haj Councilor. However they cannot take their any family members with them even at their own expense.
Under government management for each 45 pilgrims one Haj guide was earlier appointed. The agencies also appointed one guide for the privately intending pilgrims. However it was not said in the notification that how these ‘Alims’ would give advices to the pilgrims.
Of the 55 most of the ‘Alims’ are the principals of different Qoumi and Alia Madrashas of the country. In the list there are 8 from Chattogram division and 11 from Goplaganj district.
