‘Minni had information of possible attack, not murder’

Aysha Siddika Minni has admitted  that she had have information about possible attack but nothing about the murder of her husband Rifat Sharif, Superintendent of Barguna Police Maruf Hossain said.

“During the interrogation in remand, Minni confessed about the information of attack on Riaft Sharif,” the official told our Patuakhali Barta24.com on Thursday.

Most of the accused arrested in the murder case earlier gave statements at different times that Minni was involved in the killing.

Earlier, a Barguna court has placed Aysha Siddika Minni on a five-day remand in a case filed over the murder of her husband Rifat Sharif.

Rifat Sharif, 25, an internet service provider, was hacked to death in broad daylight in front of his wife Aysha Siddika Minni near Barguna Government College on June 26.

A footage of the murder went viral on social media triggering public outrage.

The victim’s father filed a murder case with Barguna Sadar Police Station against 12 people on the same day.

The prime accused in the case, Nayon Bond, was killed in a “gunfight” with police on July 2.
