Three people killed and eight others injured in a road accident after a pick-up van collided with a human hauler in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Rabbi, Shahabuddin, and Jahangir, all of them were day labourers, Sub-Inspector Abdus Samaad of Kachpur Highway Police Station told Barta24.com.
The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.
The incident took place around 8.00pm when the Kachpur-bound pick-up van collided with the human hauler coming from the opposite direction at Borab area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the upazila, leaving the three people dead on the spot.
The injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
