Mosquitos wouldn’t bite if everyone ring up protection nets at house, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said on Sunday.
The minister made the advice to citizens while inaugurating a kid’s playground at Noyatola area of Moghbazar in the capital.
He said: “We were used to ringing mosquito net to avoid bites and it is a better precaution to avoid bites in the situation like Dengue outbreak.”
“Mayors of both DSCC and DNCC are working relentlessly to reduce Dengue outbreak and Aedes mosquitoes will come under control quickly. People also need to be more aware of dengue fever and mosquitos,” he added.
Referring to dengue fever, the minister said, "We know that there is no antidote for dengue fever. If any doctor or homeopathic doctor prescribe any antidote for dengue fever then it is a lie and they shouldn’t be trusted.”
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal also cautioned to be aware of reumours.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam also attended the event among others.
