Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep shock and sympathy at the death of Advocate Supriyo Chakravarty, husband of the president of Bangladesh Paribesh Andolon (BAPA) and adviser to former care taker government Advocate Sultana Kamal.
On an official visit now in London Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at London time 8 o’clock in the morning talked to Sultana Kamal over telephone. This was confirmed to bartatwentyfour.com on Tuesday (July 30) by Awami League deputy office secretary and special assistant to PM Barrister Biplob Barua.
Biplob Barua said that the Prime Minister expressed her deep shock to the grief stricken family and memorized her old family bond with Advocate Supriyo Chakravarty.
He further said after coming back from London visit she might personally go to their residence to express her deep sympathy.
It may be mentioned here that On Monday (July 29) Advocate Supriyo Chakravarty breathed his last while under treatment at capital’s BIRDEM hospital. He was 79. Owing to blood hemorrhage in the brain he was admitted to the hospital on last July 13.
He left behind wife, a daughter and innumerable number of relatives, friends and well wishers to mourn his death.
