Eight people were killed while 20 more were injured when two buses collided head on Thakurgaon–Dhaka highway in sadar upazilla on Friday(August 02) morning.
The accident occurred between a Dipzol company coach and another bus in front of Khochabara Balaka udyan in Jagannathpur union.
Thakurgaon Fire Service Station officer Mofidar Rahman has confirmed the incident.
The Fire Service officer told bartatwentyfour.com that the fire men have rescued the injured from the damaged buses. There is huge rush of the on lookers at the accident spot creating obstacles to the fire men in rescue operation. Besides, the vehicle movement on the Thakurgaon – Dhaka highway is suspended as the damaged buses are still on the highway.
