Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on drone or any remote control flying devices in the territory of the capital's sky.

The decision was disclosed through a press release, signed by DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Tuesday.

“Flying drones without authorities’ permission is a punishable offence in the eye of country’s law. Besides, unapproved droves create panic among the city dwellers including disturbing public security. Therefore, the flying drone or any remote control devices unauthorisedly has been banned to maintain the public security from now,” the released said.

The release also informed that it is the authority of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) to give permission of flying drones in the territory of the country's sky.
