Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen commented that no problem will be created by India after the publication of the National Registration of Citizens (NRC) in Assam because we trust India.

He said that India is a dynamic state in the globe. Many problems will come and we hope that we will overcome those. During his recent visit by the Indian foreign minister S. Jaishankar told us that NRC is their internal matter. India will not create any problem to us. And we like to trust in his assurances.

The foreign minister told these on Saturday (August 31) to the journalists at the end of a workshop titled Dhaka Doc Lab held at the Liberation War Museum.

The foreign minister said that the Assam government has published the final list of NRC. We have strengthened vigilance at our borders. The socio economic condition of Bangladesh is such that the poor can survive by any means but jobs of some educated people are in wanting.

Regarding the allegation of BJP leader Amit Shah who said the ‘Bangladeshis had entered India’- the foreign minister said that it is not based on facts. After 1947, 1971 and 1975 no Bangladeshi did enter India for permanent settlement. Some had gone there for some particular reasons. The politicians should not give such unguarded speeches. Why he should say like this.

Regarding the Rohingya issue he said that if the NGOs are found in any anti-state activity in the Rohingya camps they will be withdrawn from there. Meanwhile 41 NGOs have been withdrawn. Another will be withdrawn immediately. We are investigating the matter that how they got SIM card without NID cards. Measures will be taken against them who are involved this highly irregular matter.
