‘Sher-e-Bangla hall provost agreed to step down’

The provost of Sher-e-Bangla hall of BUET has agreed to step down responding to the call of the agitating students, the university’s student welfare director Mizanur Rahman informed the protesters demonstrating for justice into the murder of Abrar Fahad.

Mizanur Rahman said the provost of the hall had promised to him about resigning from the post according to the demand of the students.

The student welfare director of BUET also said if the provost doesn't resign, I would resign if requires.

The students agitated at the killing of fellow Abrar allegedly in hand of some Chhatra League leaders following his Facebook post criticizing Feni river water deal India agreed during the recent visit of Bangladesh’s prime minister to India.

Mizanur rahman also assured the students that their demands would be raised to the vice chancellor, when they would meet. At that time, the protesters also called for stopping student politics in the campus.
