The agitating students of BUET on movement for the cruel murder of Abrar Fahad have placed 10 -point demands including banning of organizational politics.
Regarding these demands the students said that, ‘we don’t want ban on student politics in the BUET campus but the politics as the affiliated body of any political party be stopped.’
The agitating students told all these in front of the main gate of BUET campus on Thursday (Oct.10) noon.
They urged upon the participants talking to the media or in the talk show and said please try to understand the demand. Years together the culture of taking the students forcibly in the political meetings and processions shall have to go for ever, we don’t want to proceed that culture.
Earlier the agitating students placed 10- point demand on the fourth day of their movement. Of the demands in the sixth point the agitating students demanded ‘the organizational politics must be banned in BUET. In the name of organizational politics a reign of terror has been prevailing in the halls for a long time. The junior students are forcibly taken to the meetings and processions. Misusing political power the general students are often driven out from the halls. Even misusing political power the students are being meted out mental and physical tortures. General students are very much annoyed with the activities of politically linked students’ organizations. So within next seven day (Oct.15) all politically linked organizations and their activities shall have to be banned permanently.
