Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said those who are hampering the peace in the hills that were established through the signing of peace accord by committing crimes like extortion, terrorism and killing would be driven out at any cost.
He was speaking at the meeting on law and order situation in Hill Tracts in the Rangamati Ethnic Minority Institute auditorium in Rangamait on Thursday morning.
The meeting was presided over by Bir Bahadur, minister of Chittagong Hill Tracts affairs.
The home minister said the government would do everything needed to ensure stability in the hill tracts.
He said we have come here and organized this meeting in Rangalmati to know what we need do to do for the permanent stability in this region.
