Nagarik Oikyo convener and former DUCSU VP Mahmudur Rahman Manna said had there been student politics in BUET, Abrar wouldn't have been killed.
He was speaking at a human chain in front of National press club on Thursday (October 17) formed in protest of BUET student Abrar Murder.
Manna said Abrar was taken for torture at 8pm. If there were Chhatra Dal, leftist and other organizations in the campus they would bring out procession in protest immediately, call journalists and police would come to the spot. Abrar Murder could be prevented.
Manna said there is now an ongoing conspiracy to pass the responsibility of Abrar Murder on the whole nation. But it is Chhatra League who committed the murder.
'No other student organizations were involved in this murder. So Chhatra League is supposed to be banned. But there is conspiracy to ban the entire student politics.'
