Jubo League chairman Omar Faruk Chowdhury has been expelled from the organization.
The decision of his expulsion was made in the meeting of the prime minister and party chief Sheikh Hasina with Jubo League leaders on Sunday ahead of the upcoming seventh congress of the organization.
In the meeting Jubo League presidium member Chayan Islam was made convener of the committee for the preparation of the next congress.
Omar Faruk Chowdhury was made president of Jubo Leage in the sixth congress held in 2012.
He was sidelined in the organization since his involvement in casino and corruption was surfaced amid the recent crackdown on illegal businesses of Jubo League leaders.
Since the drive was launched, he withdrew himself from the activities of the organization.
