Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said law enforcers are looking for those responsible for the hacking of a youth’s Facebook ID and posting defamatory comments on Prophet Muhammad that led to the violence at Borhanuddin in Bhola.

“Probe into the Facebook ID hacking is going on. Those involved in the misdeed will be found out and brought to book,” he said on Sunday (Oct 27).

The minister was speaking at a discussion meeting orgainised at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, marking the 18th founding anniversary of Freedom Fighters' Children's Command Council.

He said police headquarters are working to determine who are responsible for the Facebook ID hacking that resulted in the Borhanuddin violence leaving at least four people dead on Oct 20.

Kamal said the allowances for the freedom fighters are being increased as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina believed that they played the main role in the independence of Bangladesh.

“There is no demand that freedom fighters have raised but haven’t been met. Their other demands will be fulfilled in phases in future,” he said.
