Eight senior police officers of BCS (Police) cadre have been promoted to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (ADIG) of police.
On Monday (Oct.28) in a gazette notification by order of the President signed by deputy secretary Dananjoy Kumer Das of the Home ministry this was confirmed.
In the gazette notification it was told that these 8 police officers have been promoted to the rank of ADIG. In the notification it was further told that the promoted officers will send their joining letters to the Public Security department of Home ministry.
The promoted officers are police super of Jashore Mainul Haque, police super of Chapainawabganj TM Mojahidul Islam, DMP DC Md. Illiyas Sharif, CMP DC Shamyal Kumer Nath, police super of Chattogram Nure Alom Mia, DMP DC Md. Zakir Hossain Khan, Assistant Inspector General of Police directorate Md. Anowar Hossain Khan and police super of Mymenshing Md. Shah Abid Hossain.
