Finance Minister AHM Mostofa Kamal said that it is really painful that we will not get the service of Shakib for one year. It is true that Shakib is upset by the ICC ban to the contrary the country will also lose its dignity to a little extent.
On Wednesday (Oct.30) evening after a meeting of 19th purchase committee held at the cabinet meeting room, the minister informed this to the journalists.
Shakib has proved his honesty. He spoke the truth. However he could inform the board or the Prime Minister earlier. Though ICC if requested might have no result, I don’t know.
Mostofa Kamal said that ICC is very much strict about discipline. ICC does not like match fixing and will not like in future. ICC does not give any concession to any body, there is no such instance.
Shakib knew the ICC rule well. Still why he did it! Shakib did it very lightly. We will be affected as we will not get Shakib’s service for one year.
