ACC seizes property of Falu worth Taka 343 crore

Anti-Corruption Commission(ACC) has seized the property of BNP chairperson’s former adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu worth Taka 343 crore for amassing those beyond his known income.  

On Thursday (Oct.31) ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumer Bhattacharya has confirmed it barta24.com.

On Tuesday(Oct.29) to a prayer of the ACC investigating officer, the court issued the property attachment order.

The attached property includes the 93 lakh shares worth Taka 93 crore of Reza properties owned by Falu. 20 percent share of Rakin properties (2 crores 69 lakh 81 thousand 120 numbers) worth Taka 200 crore. The attached property also the bank account of Falu in Karwan bazaar branch of IFIC and a commercial plot of Kakrail with an area of 22.53 decimal worth take 50 crores.  

Earlier on May 15, 2017 ACC filed a case against Falu in Ramna police station in this connection. Another case was lodged against Falu’s wife Mahbuba Sultana on the same allegation on August 10 of the same year. In the current year the ACC gave permission of those two cases in last January. In the case the allegations of acquiring Taka 22 crores illegally and supplying false information were brought against Falu.
