Savar(Dhaka): The students of Jahnagirnagar University (JU) are coming out of the residential halls by breaking the locks to participate in the anti-VC movement.
It was seen that the students of Sufia Kamal, PritiLata, Jahanara Imam halls and from many other halls they are coming out to join the movement.
Additional police forces have been deployed in the campus and VC’s residence to ensure overall security.
On Tuesday (Nov.5) at 8-30 pm these were observed on the JU campus.
The agitating students informed that the students would continue movement till the removal of VC. So intensify the movement they were trying to gather strength.
The pro-VC students alleged that the agitators are forcibly compelling the female students and other students by breaking the locks of the hall gates. These students are trying to seize the VC’s residence and also trying to create unpleasant incidents on the campus. For this reason additional police forces have been deployed on the campus particularly around the VC’s residence.
The Additional Police Super of Savar circle Tahmidul Islam told barta24.com that to avoid any kind of indiscipline on the campus, 100 police forces have been deployed.
