Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has begun interrogation of 7 engineers of Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant for their alleged irregularities, corruption and embezzlement of government money.
The interrogation has begun in the head office of ACC, Segun Bagicha on Wednesday (Nov.6) from 9 a.m.
The prominent among the under interrogated engineers are Mohammad Masudul Alam, (Executive Engineer of Pabna PWD), Tahajjud Hossain, (Sub-divisional Engineer of PWD Pabna sub-division-1) and Mostofa Kamal (Sub-divisional Engineer of Pabna PWD sub-division -2).
It is learnt that the anti-graft body is mainly investigating the misuse of power, several irregularities and corruption allegedly committed by XEN of the project Masudur Rahman and others.
Thirty four engineers have been summoned by ACC for the alleged involvement with the irregularities and corruptions at Ruppur nuclear power plant. Their interrogation will continue till November 13 beginning from today(Nov.6).
