A Dhaka court has ordered exhumation of the remains of Naimul Abrar, a student of Dhaka Residential Model School and College who was electrocuted at a function of Prothom Alo, for conducting an autopsy.
The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Aminul Hauqe gave the order on Wednesday (Nov 6).
Ninth grader Naimul was electrocuted at the function Prothom Ali organised on the educational institution’s on Nov 1 campus to mark the founding anniversary of its Khishor Alo magazine.
The court ordered investigation into Naimul’s death integrating the murder case filed by his father on Wednesday (Nov 6) with the unnatural death case lodged earlier over his demise.
Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur police station has been asked to submit the investigation report by December 1.
