Though the intensity of severe cyclonic storm has lessened but there is still possibility of tidal bore that may engulf the coastal belt under water, said the Meteorologist. On Sunday (Nov.10) morning Meteorologist MA Mannan informed this.
Abdul Mannan said that as the body of the storm is of large sized, so its periphery cloud is much bigger. The pressure field of the cyclonic storm is still in the Bay of Bengal. If there is high tide in the morning then there is possibility of tidal bore.
However if it gets weak with the passage of time then it will cross Bangladesh converting into a depression. Then the weather will be getting normal.
He further said that due to impact of the cyclonic storm and moon phase the coastal districts of Chattogram, Noakhali, Lakhkhipur, Feni, Chandpur,Barguna, Bhola, Patuakhali, Barisal, Pirojpur, Jhalakathi, Bagerhat, Khulna, Satkhira and its adjoining islands and low laying areas might be flooded by the 4 to 5 feet height sea water.
