The government has relieved prosecutor of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Dr Tureen Afroz of her responsibilities ‘for breaching discipline and professional misconduct’.
The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a circular signed by Law and Justice Division’s Solicitor Wing Deputy Solicitor SM Nahid Nazmin, to this effect on Monday (Nov 11).
Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Md Golam Sarwar confirmed the matter to Barta24.com.
Tureen Afroz was appointed a prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal on February 20, 2013.
