Bangladesh Railway authorities have suspended Turna Nishita driver, his aide and a guard over the collision of two trains at Brahmanbaria that left at least 17 people killed and over 50 injured.
Secretary to the Ministry of Railways Md Mofazzel Hossain confirmed their suspension to Barta24.com on Tuesday (Nov 12).
Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita collided with Udayan intercity train bound for Chattogram early on Tuesday morning at Kasba in Brahmanbaria.
According to primary information, the accident took place after the driver of Turna moved his train to a wrong line violating signal.
