Fire incident took place in the Rangpur bound train from Dhaka ‘Rangpur Express’ when the seven carriages including the engine slipped away from the track near Ullahpara railway station area on Thursday (Nov.14) noon.
However, there was no report of any injury in the accident. The accident forced the suspension of all rail communications with North Bengal. After the accident the Fire Services men have been carrying on rescue operation there.
Duty Officer of Civil Defense control room Md. Russel has confirmed this to barta24.com. He informed that some carriages of the train slipped the track and the incident of fire occurred. The Firemen rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
