The Garos are suffering from frustration to save their own culture from the aggression of the multi-national and various cultures from outside. However in the present days the educated section and others have become conscious about their own culture. To save their own culture they are naming their children in Garo language.

Ruman Rangsa, vice-principal of Don Bosco School & College stressed the need for media like the first multi-media news portal of the country bartatwentyfour.com to create awareness among the Garo community about their ethnic culture and find out ways and means to save it from decaying.

They said that the Garos have their own culture; even they build their houses with different art & characteristics. They want to live and die in their own culture. The media should highlight their culture to extend help and cooperation to other ethnic communities or the Garos.

After an hour long discussion and hobnobbing the function came to an end followed by a lunch at the dinning hall of YWCA
