Nirmal Ranjan Guha and Afzalur Rahmna Babu were elected president and secretary respectively of the central committee of Awami Swechchasebak League for a three year term.
On Saturday (Nov.16) in the second session of the 3rd national council of the affiliated body of Awami League(AL) held at the Institute of Engineers, General Secretary of AL Obaidul Quader announced their names.
Besides, Ishahaque Mia and Anisur Rahman Naim were elected president and secretary of Dhaka city North unit while Kamrul Hassan Ripon and Tareq Sayeed got the posts of president and secretary of City South unit.
Earlier in the morning Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina opened the national council of Swechchasebak League at historic Shuhrawardy ground.
