Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has left taking onions in her curry when there is countrywide clamor and discontent with onion. Unnatural price soaring of onion is now talk of the country from last September reaching its peak in November.
On Saturday (Nov.16) Sheikh Hasina while departing for Dubai told this to the waiting journalists. She informed that I have given up taking onions in my curry and my all curries were prepared this noon without onion.
She said that onion is being brought by cargo plane.
Earlier in the morning Sheikh Hasina while opening the national council of Swechchasebak League at Shuhrawardy ground said about the steps taken by her government to face the onion crisis.
Sheikh Hasina told that onion is expected to arrive by Tuesday. Onion has already been loaded in airplane. So there is nothing to be worried.
