The Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal has fixed Nov 27 for the delivery of verdict in the case over the attack in Holey Artisan bakery more than three years ago.
Judge Md Mojibur Rahman of the tribunal fixed the date on Sunday (Nov 17) after completion of argument in the case.
Testimonies of 113 witnesses in the case were recorded before argument presentation.
Militants attacked Holey Artisan, a Spanish restaurant, on July 1, 2016, leaving 20 people, including 17 foreigners dead. They hurled grenades to members of police who rushed there hearing the attack.
Assistant commissioner of Detective Branch of police Robiul Islam and Banani police station officer-in-charge Salahuddin Ahmed were killed in the attack.
Six attackers were killed in a raid that joint forces conducted next morning. A case was filed with Gulshan police station against the attackers on July 4, 2016 under anti-terrorism law.
Investigator in the case, Inspector Humayun Kabir of counter-terrorism unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police pressed charges against eight persons.
The charge-sheeted accused are Jahangir Alam alias Rajib Gandhi, Mizanur Rahman alias Bara Mizan, Raqibul Hasan Regan, Abdus Sabur Khan alias Sohel Mahfuz, Hasibur Rahman Sagar, Rashed Islam alias Abu Zarra alias Rash, Mamunur Rashid and Shafiqul Islam alias Khaled.
