On way to Bhuvenshawar(Orissa), India: The three day Third National Media Conclave (NMC) -2019 on the theme titled ‘Communication in Digital Age’ is going to begin on Thursday (Nov. 21) at Bhuvenshawr of India.

About 45 media experts, teachers of journalism from all over India will take part in the conference organized by the Institute of Media Studies of Utkal University of Bhuvenshawar. Research papers will be presented here in ten sessions. A five member team from Bangladesh is participating in the International Delegate.   

Director of Institute of Media Studies Professor Dr. Upendra Padi informed this reporter that it is going to be held in continuation of previous years. The theme of the current conference is ‘Communication in Digital Age’.  The researchers are expected to present their opinion on the journalism in digital age and theoretical communication study and its practical side as well as the professional dealings.  

Razib Nandi, Assistant Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism of Chattogram University who is also the spokesman of NMC of Bangladesh chapter will send stories from Bhuvenshawar of Eastern India for the readers and viewers of barta24.com. He is also the coordinator of India -Bangladesh bilateral on line media research network ‘Indo-Bangla Media Educators’.  He had also covered the Fourth All India Mass Media Research conference held in last September at Udaipur oF Rajasthan, India. 

The five -member Bangladesh International Delegate team is headed by Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, retired professor of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University who was a commissioner of information Commission of the government.  

Dr. Golam Rahman said that we are feeling proud to be invited in such conference in India for networking in mass communication and journalism. We will listen to challenges of journalism in digital age of the two countries. Then we will think and act accordingly.   

Bhuvenshawar is an important tourism spot in India also is a holy place of the Hindus.  It is the capital of the Eastern Indian state of Orissa. Its’ ancient name is ‘Kalinga’ and Utkal. World famous Sun Temple ‘Konark Surjya Mandir is situated here.  The city of Bhuvenshawar has risen up like a phoenix from the devastation of cyclone Foni that razed this place six months back.
