United Sates of America (USA) considered that the trial of Holy Artisan Bakery attackers and the verdict delivered on Wednesday (Nov.27) by a Dhaka court is a mile stone for Bangladesh.
The US embassy in Dhaka in a statement issued Wednesday (today) said that the families of the killed in that barbarous attack will at least get the consolation that the attackers got punishment.
On Wednesday (Nov.27) the statement sent by the US embassy said that, the USA is honored by the fact that it has helped Bangladesh in the whole investigation of the case. We are committed to help Bangladesh in their fight against terrorism and also in helping establishing rule of law in the country.
USA is also expressing deep grief to the families of the law enforcing agencies people killed in the worst militant attack.
On Wednesday (Nov.27) at 12-17 pm the anti-terror tribunal Judge Md. Mojibur Rahman announced the verdict of Holy Artisan Bakery case after 3 years 4 months.
In the judgment seven Islamist militants were sent to gallows along with a fine of Taka 50 thousand each and one charge sheeted was acquitted of the charges.
The death sentence awardees are Rajib Gandhi, Rakibul Hassan Regan, Hatkata Sohel Mahfuz, Hadisur Rahman Sagar, Rashed Islam alias Aby Zarra alais rash, Shariful Islam alias Khaled and Mamunur Rashid alias Ripon while Mizanur Rahman alias Boro Miazan got acquittal.
