Israel ambassador to Myanmar has congratulated Suu Kye for leading the Myanmar’s delegation to face the trial of genocide.

The Israel ambassador Ronen Gilore twitted his support for the leadership of Aung Sunn Suu Kye for facing the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Netherlands but after few moments he also deleted the twits.

Ambassador Ronen Gilore has expected the support of the people of his own country in favor of Myanmar for genocide of the minority Rohingya Muslims.

Few days back Gilore made another twit. ‘Giving inspire to get a good judgment and Good Luck.’But after some time he deleted the twit.

Next on last Wednesday, the ambassador made another twit on this issue and deleted the twit.  This time he had twitted the picture of a meeting with a central committee parliament member of International Relations department. The matter came upin the discussion and wished good luck again in this trial.

Why the ambassador deleted his twits did not show the cause.

The fact is this that Israel is still selling arms to Myanmar even after allegation against Myanmar of committing genocide. USA and European Union have stopped selling arms to Myanmar, but Israel is continuing.

In 2017 the top court of Israel gave a verdict against selling arms to Myanmar. But the verdict was kept secret. Because the country itself considered that the Judges Yuram Danzigar, Anat Baron and Devid Mintz took unusual steps. At the request of Israel government, the verdict was kept secret forcibly.

After that Israel claimed that they are not selling any arms to Myanmar. But after that a Myanmar’s delegation was found in an Israeli arms exhibition. Next the foreign ministry of Israel announced that they have banned Myanmar to visit such arms exhibition.

Besides arms deal, both Israel and Myanmar bilateral relation is continuing in non- military level. In 2018 in a report published in May it was seen that a cooperation educational agreement was signed between Israel and Myanmar on ‘Holocaust and struggle against racialism’ in the syllabus.  However, the Israeli government said that they are not implementing it.
