A number of digital LED screen sets have been installed at Kamalapur Railway station for the convenience of the passengers. The time schedule of trains and other important information are displayed on the screen. These digital screens are one of the sources of the passengers to various destinations. But as the number of screens is inadequate so the passengers are to suffer.

After on the spot visit to Kamalapur railway station it was found that the number of screen is less than the number of passengers. Again many screens are not functioning properly without any updated information.

Due to the bustled of the passengers the announcement on the microphones cannot be heard clearly. Some passengers were found ask the railway security men about the time schedule of the train.

One Dinajpur bound waiting passenger Nazimuddin told barta24.com that train service has got modern technological equipments as result passengers can purchase tickets by on line, can know the location of the train through SMS. But there is some deficiency in infrastructural centering digital services.

A regular passenger Asif Imtiaz said that I prefer train journey as it is comfortable. To the passengers directions of the digital LED screen is very important to get on or embarkation. But there is inadequacy of digital LED screen at Kamalapur railway station. The available digital screens are of 32 inch so it is not clearly visible to the passengers. So there is need of more big size screen.

Another passenger Rashed Hassan told barta24.com that often the screen are seen black because of the faults in  many sets. Moreover there is no service center or information center in true sense where we can get information.

When asked Kamalapur rail station manager Mohammad Aminul Haque who told barta24.com that soon big size digital screen sets will be installed as assured by the higher authorities. The number of sets will be also increased for the convenience of the passengers, he told.

Railway ministry secretary Md. Mofazzel Hossain told barta24.com that, ‘I am not informed about the inadequacy of the LED screen sets at Kamalapur railway station. Even we did not get such allegation in the meeting with stakeholders. However, I will look into the matter. If necessary more LED screen sets will be installed at Kamalapur railway station,’ he said.
