BNP training affairs secretary ABM Mosharraf Hossain has been arrested in the capital in a case filed on charges of obstructing police from performing duty, vandalising, arson and subversive acts.
Ramna Zone Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police SM Shamim told Barta24.com that Mosharraf and two others were arrested from in front of the National Press Club on Friday (Nov 29).
Police filed the case on Nov 26 accusing 20 named and several hundred unnamed BNP leaders and activists of the offences after they were locked in a clash with cops during party’s sit-in demonstration in front of the High Court.
Earlier on Thursday (Nov 28) police arrested BNP joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon and vice-chairman Hafiz Uddin Ahmed from near the High Court area in the case.
