Curtain falls on the two-day literary conference organized by local literary & cultural organization Faridpur Sahittaya and Sanskriti Unnayan Sangstha(FSAUS) concluded here through distribution of Alaol Literary Award-2019 to the recipients here at Kabi Jasimuddin hall on Saturday (Nov.30) evening.
The concluding function chaired by FSAUS president Abul Faez Shahnawj was attended by Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain MP, AL central Advisory council member and President of the Standing Committee on ministry of LGRD & Cooperatives in the Jatiyo Sangsad as the chief guest.
FSAUS gave awards on poetry, short stories and novel. In poetry it was won by Altaf Hossain for his poetry collection ‘Boli je Tarana Hochchey’, for short stories it went to Rafiqur Rshid for his short story book ‘Eie Shob Jibon Japan’ and the award on novel was won by Harishankar Jaldas for his book ‘Jolputra’.
Engineer Mosharraf gave away the mementos of FSAUS and a cheque of Taka ten thousand each to the recipients of Alaol Literary Award -2019.
Khondoker Mosharraf in his speech said that the language Bangla has flourished helping the Bangalee writers to enrich it in different ways which has become possible only due to the fact that Bangladesh has become independent under the great leadership of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He thanked the organizers for arranging this novel event after a long time. Mosharraf also thanked the recipients.
The award giving function was also addressed by special guests DC of Faridpur Atul Sarkar, Police Super Mr. Alimuzzaman and the three recipients of Alaol Literary award.
