Valiant Freedom fighter Khalilur Rahman buried

Valiant Freedom Fighter Md. Khalilur Rahman who died yesterday at BIRDEM hospital, Dhaka after prolonged illness of lung and kidney was buried on Sunday (Dec.1) here at Alipur graveyard in the town. He was 62.

Khalil, joined the liberation war at a very age and took part in many pitch battle against Pak occupation army. He also fought a historical war against the retreating Pak army at Karimpur near Kanaipur. In that battle eight freedom fighters braced martyrdom on December 9, 1971.

During liberation war Khalil was arrested by Pak army and was kept in the torture cell of Faridpur stadium. He got release after one month. However, that arrest could not refrain him joining the liberation war again.

He left behind three daughters wife and host of relatives and friends and well wishers to mourn his death. He was also a reputed business man of this town.

Khalil was also deputy commander of Faridpur district Muktijoddhya Council.

His Namaj-e-Zanaja was held at Ambica Memorial ground on Sunday(Dec.1) after Zohr prayer attended by a huge members of public and freedom fighters.
