Biman to operate special flights daily to bring illegal workers from Malaysia

Under the Malaysian Government’s “Back for good’ program the illegal migrant Bangladeshi workers will be sent back to country. Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate 16 special flights in addition to routine flights of Dhaka to Malaysia in this December to ferry those illegal workers.

Civil Aviation & Tourism ministry Information officer Tanvir Ahemed on Thursady (Dec. 5) has confirmed it.   

To bring back the overseas workers Boeing 737 and Boeing 787-8 dream liner will be operated. Due to ticket crisis the stranded illegal Bangladeshi workers under the general amnesty of the Malaysian government will be brought at the directives of the Civil & Tourism ministry the Biman authority has taken the measures.  

Speaking on the matter, the State Minister of Civil Aviation & Tourism Mahbub Ali said as the national flag career Biman has got some accountability to the people of the country. As part of that accountability and responsibilities to the workers Biman is operating these special flights.  

The secretary of the concerned ministry Mahbubul Haque said that we are rather happy to help our stranded overseas brothers. The ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism and its affiliated departments are always ready to look the interest of the people and as well as the country at the hour of need. 

Though the Malaysian government has given opportunity to return back the illegal Bangladeshi workers residing there without any hassle, they were stranded for want of tickets. They are in problem getting the opportunity to return due to ticket crisis. This opportunity is valid till December 31 as announced by Malaysian government.
