The people Bangladesh expect that India will not do any thing that may create uncertainty and distrust the people of the two countries.
On Friday (Dec.6) foreign minister AK Abdul Momen said this while speaking on the contributions of India in the great liberation war of 1971 and relations between the two countries.
He said that on this day India had created a history by according recognition to Bangladesh. In the Freedom struggle the contributions of India is unthinkable. India created a history by giving shelters to one crore refugees.
About 17000 Indian soldiers laid down their lives in the liberation war. So the help of India during liberation war cannot be repaid.
Momen said that in last two decades the relations between the two countries has reached a new height which has been described by PM Narendra Modi as the Golden era.
Momen expressed his optimism that the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and India will further strengthen in the coming days.
The Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das said a friendly relationship was built between Bangladesh and India through the Liberation War.
She said the relations will remain intact and strengthen further in coming days for the economic development of the two neighboring countries.
The discussion was arranged by the Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee which was chaired by its adviser Justice AHM Shamshuddin Chowdhury Manik held at National Museum.
