Police are yet to unearth of the mystery behind the murder of Stamford University student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa whose body was found in Siddheswari area in the capital on Wednesday (Dec 4) night.
Students of Stamford University continued their protest against the murder for the second day on Saturday (Dec 7) on both the campuses of the institution – at Dhanmondi and Shiddeswari.
The students formed human chains where they demanded bringing the killers to book and urged the students of other universities to join the protests.
The agitators demanded exemplary punishment for those involved in the murder.
Stamford University Journalists’ Association President Saiful Islam Masum said there is a move to divert the murder issue from the beginning.
Teachers and students of the university later brought out a procession which marched Dhanmondi road numbers 15 and 19.
