Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has warned that intercity buses will no more be allowed to enter and ply in the capital.
He issued the warning while exchanging views with leaders in the transport sector at Mohakhali bus terminal in the capital on Tuesday (Dec 10).
“No intercity bus will be allowed to ply in the city. Only city service buses can operate in Dhaka city,” the mayor said.
He urged the bus owners not to park their vehicles on the main road in front of the Mohakhali bus terminal.
Atiqul Islam said, “We’re ready to accept your demands. But you have to accept our decisions in exchange.”
