Khaleda Zia was not granted bail in the Zia Charitable Trust Corruption case. Her bail prayer was outright rejected by the Appellate division of the Supreme Court.
On Thursday (Dec.12) the bench of six judges headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed this order.
At 1.02 noon the chief Justice told that we have different opinions about the matter. I will announce the verdict after sometime.
Next at 1.16 noon the court said that this is our unanimous judgment. The bail petition is hereby rejected. Medical Board can take next step of biological treatment if Khaleda Zia gives consent.
Senior lawyers Zainul Abedin and Khondoker Mahbub Hossain made the hearing on behalf of Khaleda Zia while Attorney General Mahbuby Alma and ACC prosecutor Khurshid Alam Khan represented the state.
