Capital is pricked with biting cold

With the beginning of the Bangla month Poush the biting cold has encompassed across the country including the capital. Besides that a mild cold wave is sweeping over North- Western area of the country which may remain alive for more five days.

From the Thursday (Dec.19) morning the sky is covered with thick fog. The city people are shivering with the excess humidity in the wind. That forced the capital people coming out of the houses wearing all kinds of warm clothes from head to foot. Those who still to procure to warm cloths are rushing to the warm cloth shops. 

On Thursday morning the mercury fell to 13.3 degree Celsius. The lowest however was 13.2 degree Celsius. On last Wednesday the temperature was between 16 -17 degree Celsius. On that day the lowest temperature was recorded in Rajarhat of Rangpur(10.8 degree Celsius).

Weatherman Ruhul Kuddus told barta24.com that, ‘the rate the humidity is increasing in the wind, if it continues then the capital will be shivered with biting cold. In that case in the Northern district the cold will be more biting and acute. In the capital the temperature might come down to 10 degree Celsius. However, the temperature might go up slightly after December 21.  

He further said that a mild cold wave is sweeping the North-Western districts. It may last for five days more. The temperature might rise after Dec. 24. In that case the fog will also decrease. But from the outset of January the cold wave might again sweep the whole country.
