DMP traffic advisory for AL council

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued traffic advisory for December 20 and 21, when the national council of the ruling Awami League will be held in the capital’s Suhrawardy Uddyan and Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.

The advisory was issued on Thursday (Dec 19) in a media statement undersigned by DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman.

A large number of Awami League leaders and activists from Dhaka and other parts of the country, travelling by buses, trains and launches, are expected to attend the 21st national council of the party.

DMP has requested the city people and all others concerned to facilitate easy travel of those coming to the capital to join the council.

Parking arrangement for vehicles:

=> The vehicles coming from Rajshahi, Khulna and Rangpur divisions will reach the council area via Gabtoli, Technical, Shyamoli, Asadgate, Dhanmondi 32, Science Lab, New Market, Nilkhet, Dhaka University Gate and park at DU Gymnasium ground.

=> The vehicles coming from Barisal and Khulna divisions and Greater Faridpur through Sadarghat will travel in capital via Zero Point, High Court, Doyel Chattar and park at the Gymnasium ground.

=> The vehicles coming from Chattogram and Sylhet divisions through Mayor Hanif Flyover will reach the Gymnasia ground via Nimtoli Crossing, Chankhrpool and Doyel Chaatar.

=> The vehicles from Mymensing division, Gazipur and Tangali districts, and Abdullahpur and Uttara areas will reach the Gymnasia ground via Mohakhali, Moghbazar Flyover, Kakrail, Zero Point and High Court.

Category-wise parking:

Cars of VIPs will park at Suhrawardy Udyan, cars and motorcycles of police and journalists at Ramna Euro Asean Chinese Resturant and Ramna Tennis Complex, buses at DU Gymnasium ground and small vehicles Mall Chattar.

Diversions:

Diversions will be at Bangla Motor, Ruposhi Bangla, Razmoni, Minto Road east end, Kakrail Church, Matsya Bhaban, Jagannath Hall, Shahbagh, Katabon, Doyel Chattar, and Science Lab Crossing.
