Superintendent of Police of Md. Alimuzzaman BPM has urged all citizens of Faridpur district not to trade any money for verification of passport clearance and passport.
The Police boss of the district press briefing held on Sunday (Dec. 29) morning in his conference room of the police super-office regarding software-based activities of passport and police clearance certificate verification.
Md. Alimuzzaman said the passport and police clearance certificate verification software (PPC) based activities have been started in different districts of Dhaka Range recently. Through this software, from now onwards, the applicant will automatically get the Investigating Officer's Name and Mobile Number and a Support Mobile Number of Dhaka Range through SMS.
He said that this will allow the applicant to know the latest status of his verification. In addition, the investigation will be completed within 3 days in case of urgent and 5 days in normal cases.
The Superintendent of Police added that efforts are being made to make the police public relation even within the limit and closer. The public should also be aware that they do not trade money in any kind of verification. If a member of the police wants to make a transaction, they should complain to the Police Super’s contact number 01713373550. Md. Alimuzzaman gave hundred percent certainty about necessary action against the wrongdoers.
The briefing was also attended among others by Additional SP (Admin) Md. Zamal Pasha, Additional SP (DSB) Md. Saifuzzaman, Additional SP of Faridpur sadar Md. Rashedul Islam. Press Club president Imtiaz Hassan Rubel and senior journalist Prof. Md. Shahjahan were present.
