Footage of CC cameras of the DU student rape spot at the Kurmitola have been collected. Police said the culprit could be arrested soon.

DC said footage of the CC camera around the rape spot was collected. Footage of the CC camera is now being analyzed. However, the place is a very busy road. We have not yet received any specific information. But hopefully the culprit can be arrested very soon.
Meanwhile, the physical condition of the Dhaka University student has improved. She is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
Earlier, the case was handed over to the DB from the Cantonment police station where the case was lodged by the victims’ father on Monday (Jan. 6). In the meantime, DB police have started vigorous investigation.
The girl was allegedly raped at Kurmitola in the capital around 7.30 pm on Sunday (Jan. 5). It is learned that the girl was going to Shewra in a university bus at around 7:00 pm. Around 7.30 pm, when she got off the bus at Kurmitola, a man grabbed her face and took her to a secluded place nearby. There she was raped and physically tortured by an unknown rapist which made her unconscious.
Later, at around 10 pm, when she to got back her senses she could understand the matter what had happened to her. Later, she was admitted to the OCC of DMC hospital at around 12pm after returning home from the auto rickshaw.
