District AL vice-president Advocate Babu Mridha passes away

Advocate Golam Rabbani Babu Mridha, Assistant Public prosecutor of Faridpur Special Judges Court, vice-president of District Awami League and also treasurer of Chawkbazar Jam –e- Mosque breathed his last on Tuesday night (Jan. 21) at Faridpur Diabetic College Hospital. He was 65.

According to family sources, at the dead of night Babu Mridha fell sick seriously and was shifted to nearby Diabetic hospital where he died. According to hospital sources, he died of hemorrhagic stroke. 

He left behind wife, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. The namaz-e- Janaza of Advocate Mridh, a freedom fighter was held at local Sheikh Jamal stadium.

A large number of people including Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain MP, member of  advisory council of Bangladesh Awami League and also chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of LGRD & Cooperatives was present at the janaza. Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf in a condolence message paid rich tribute to late Babu Mridha and expressed heartfelt sympathy to his bereaved family.  Local high civil, judicial and police officials were present in the janaza. He was later buried at Alipur grave yard.
