Dhaka City Additional Judge Robiul Alom on Tuesday (Jan.28) accepted the charge sheet against ‘tender king’ GK Shamim and also against his seven body guards for possessing illegal arms.
The court sets date of hearing on next February 26 when the witnesses will give their submission.
The bench-clark of the court Jewel Ahmed confirmed this information. Before that, the Investigation officer of the case S.I Shekhar Chandra Mollik of Rab – 1 submitted the charge sheet to the court.
The seven bodyguards of GK Shamim were also charged in the case. They are Delwar Hossain, Murad Hossain, Jahidul Islam, Sahidul Islam, Kamal Hossain, Samshad Hossain and Aminul Islam.
On September 20 of 2019 GK Shamim was arrested with seven bodyguards in his office. After that three cases were filed against him for possessing illegal arms, drugs and money laundering. According to the case statement he was mentioned as an extortionist, tender manipulator, drug peddler and casino ring leader.
